Bhutan is true to its cultural, spiritual and social traditions. A visit provides wonderful insight into life in the Himalayas as it was and continues to be. For this reason, the country is viewed as one of the last great travel destinations remaining in the world today.
In the western and central valleys of Bhutan lies Amankora, which derives its name from aman meaning ‘peace’ in Sanskrit and kora or ‘circular pilgrimage’ in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language. Amankora is not just one hotel, but rather a unique series of lodges spread throughout Bhutan’s valleys, each with its own character and setting. To best experience all that Bhutan has to offer, Aman can plan a tailor-made, all-inclusive journey including one or more of the Amankora lodges located in Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey or Bumthang.
Amankora is an All-Inclusive property
Combinable with Exclusive Amenities listed above. A two-night minimum stay applies for Suite Privileges.

The Kingdom’s only airport is located in Paro. Druk Air, Bhutan’s national carrier, flies to Paro Airport from Delhi, Kolkatta (Calcutta), Kathmandu, Bangkok, Dhaka, Bodhgaya and Bagdora. Druk Air adheres to schedules as closely as possible barring vagaries of weather, low clouds, and occasional impromptu requests for seats by special delegations which may result in denied boarding for a few passengers.
Aman recommends that guests fly into Paro, Delhi or Singapore from Bangkok, where Aman representatives will assist with the Druk Air check-in.
Amankora Paro is a 1⁄2 hour drive from Paro airport and complimentary arrival and departure transfers are available to and from Amankora Paro or Amankora Thimphu.
A dedicated Amankora Reservations team will assist with itinerary planning, Druk Air flight reservations, visa applications for Bhutan and all other aspects of your journey.
